The Kentucky Derby itself dates back to its first running in 1875. Today, the Derby is one of the biggest annual sporting events in the country—and certainly the most anticipated event in Louisville. And for as long as the Kentucky Derby has been around, so have Derby parties and gatherings. These exclusive events are where we got some of our favorite Derby traditions.
Kentucky Derby Parties
Even celebrities have gotten into the Derby hype over the years. From Kid Rock and 50 Cent to Robin Thicke and The Hills' Lauren Conrad, the most exclusive Derby parties in Louisville have seen no shortage of some of the most influential celebrities out there today.
So, what sets The Fillies & Stallions Derby Eve Party apart from other celebrations and events in the area? Our event is among the newest and hippest events out there. In fact, we just launched back in 2011, after our founders won big at their own Derby attendance and were disappointed in the lack of exciting celebrations available to them. In turn, they decided to plan and launch their own exclusive derby event, which has since seen the likes of some of the most influential celebrities and sports stars out there, including:
- The president of Churchill Downs
- Dancing With the Stars' Kym Johnson
- Joey Fatone
- Modern Family's Sarah Hyland
- ...and dozens more!
Whereas the average age of other local gala's attendance is in the 50-75 age-range, ours is 21-45. Our event starts later and runs into the early morning hours. From actresses and athletes to artists and models, you'll find some of the most high-profile celebrities at Fillies & Stallions.
